This week, we're keeping things simple. Get some water beads, and let your child play with them. You can do this in a tub, a blow-up pool, or in a large bowl or plastic bin.
Water beads are little beads that expand in water. They have a smooth, slippery, squishy, jelly-like texture that is so fun to touch and play with. They're relaxing, therapeutic, colorful, and fun. Your child can practice their hand-eye coordination skills and fine motor skills by sorting the water beads and picking them up with large toddler tweezers. This is also another opportunity for your child to sort by color.
Just like with any activity, please supervise closely and make sure not to let your child put these in their mouth!
